What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive Eating is an approach to food that has nothing to do with dieting. It’s about reconnecting with your body’s natural hunger and fullness signals, removing the guilt and rules around eating, and learning to trust yourself around food again. It was developed by two registered dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, and is backed by over 100 research studies.
Is this just another diet?
No, and that’s the whole point. Intuitive Eating is the opposite of a diet. There are no banned foods, no meal plans, no calorie counting, and no rules. It’s about freedom, not restriction.
Who is this for?
Intuitive Eating coaching is for women who are tired of the diet cycle, who have tried everything and keep ending up back at the beginning. It’s especially powerful for women who feel out of control around food, who binge and restrict, or who have been dieting for so long they’ve lost touch with what they actually enjoy eating.
I’ve been dieting my whole life. Is it too late to change?
Never. Many of my clients have been dieting for 20, 30, or even 40 years before we started working together. The longer the history, the more transformative the journey, because there’s so much to release.
How long is the coaching journey?
There is no fixed programme length. We work at your own pace and shape the journey around you, your history, and what you need. Some women feel a real shift early on; for others, gently undoing decades of diet thinking takes longer. It is always customised to you, never a one-size-fits-all timeline.
What happens on the free discovery call?
It’s a relaxed 30-minute conversation, just the two of us, like a coffee catch-up. I’ll ask about your relationship with food, your history, and what you’re hoping for. No pressure, no pitch. At the end I’ll be honest with you about whether I think I can help.
Do you offer group coaching?
Yes, I run group coaching sessions online, which are a more budget-friendly option. You work through the same Intuitive Eating principles alongside a small group of women on a similar journey. Many people find it unexpectedly powerful.
Is this available outside South Africa?
Yes, all coaching is done online. I work with women across South Africa and internationally, including the United States. Wherever you are, if you have an internet connection, we can work together.
What if I can’t afford the full programme?
I believe this work should be accessible. If budget is a concern, just bring it up on our call and I’ll do my best to find something that works for you.
How do I know if I’m ready?
If you’ve read this far, you’re probably ready. The women who find their way to me are usually at a turning point, tired of fighting, tired of failing, and quietly wondering if there’s another way. There is. And it starts with a conversation.
